Paletero Robbed at Gunpoint

Two men are being charged with armed robbery after allegedly holding a clerk at a local paletero at gunpoint. The robbery happened on the corner of Arkansas and San Jose a little after 5 p.m. on Friday. 36 year old Carlos Gomez and 29 year old Jaime Villegas were taken into custody after witnesses, who saw the robbery occur, called police and gave them a description of the suspects and their vehicle. Officers responded to the scene and were able to locate their brown Chevy truck near the area. Both suspects were taken into custody. A weapon was retrieved in that case.
