Locals hold "Tea Party" protesting government policies

By Ray Gomez

On this Labor Day holiday people were out with signs in hand showing their support for the U.S. Constitution but protesting our national government.
Signs reading honk if you love America were on display on the access road of Santa Ursula.
Protesters proudly displayed that sign and many others... Protesting the way the government is handling everyday affairs.
Such as taxes, a potential nationalized health care system and most importantly the national debt.
Tom Wade, concerned citizen,
"It’s getting ready to go to 9 or 10 trillion dollars and that's just financing our future. And it’s going to bring this country to a ruin and every time we turn around congress is printing more and more money and they gotta stop."
Wade says the protest is not about political parties...
Instead, urge congressmen, local and state representatives to pay attention to what the people want not what they want.

Republican Joe Wilson goes balistic during Pres Obamas speech... seals death to Republicans. Thank you Mr. Wilson, you displayed the Republican agenda which happens to be counter productive and in the way of progress. Sergio Mora thanks for everthing. Thanks for listening and thank you for your undying support for President Obama. Long may the Democrats reign for their agenda is the agenda of the American people.

Not very nice to give Mora's number out like that. He was not pleased.

I'd like to set up an impromto gathering showoing support for Pres Obama? Let's meet This Saturday 9-12-2009 at the Whataburger parking lot at the corner of Del Mar and Springfield at about noon? Let me hear some feedback so that we can get this going. I'm going to give Sergio Mora Webb County Democratic Chair a call [(956) 206-0401] and get this rolling.

Justus needs to understand that Republicans were in control of America since 1980 and this entire mess is their fault. President Commander in Chief Obama is doing such a great job that neocons are going apecrap over his outstanding performance. Thank you Pres Obama for destroying the Republican Party and God Bless you and your entire family. America needs more like you.

"Dubious Characters" needs to understand that you don't have to live in Laredo to realize when the government is "out of control!" Does "DC" think that it is okay to be plunged to our current debt level with no end in sight at our current pace? It seems as though "DC" is looking for a "freebie or two" at the expense of others. Frankly, I'm tired of paying for someone elses benefit! The Constitution guarantees "Equal Rights" not "Equal Things!" "DC" must be a believer in "Socialism."

I doubt these people are locals. Unless living in Laredo for one week is local.
