Friends and family gather for funeral held for Baby Katherine

Friday to say goodbye to Katherine Cardenas. It has been almost one week since police officers and family members found the two year old dead inside a cabinet outside the home, but there have been little developments in the case. The little girl's death was ruled a homicide by medical examiner, Doctor Coreen Stern. Doctor Stern has not release any information on the cause of death. The Laredo Police Department is also keeping a tight lip. According to police, the incident happened Saturday morning in the 3100 block of Main street. They received a 911 call that the toddler was missing. Police officers, family members and neighbors were looking for the girl around the neighborhood. The baby's body was found by a police officer outside her home, in a cabinet. Today police say they are following leads but they have no suspect yet in the case.
