Grandparents Day at LPL

The Laredo Public Library invited families to come celebrate Grandparent's Day at their facilities. There was food, drinks, and games for young and old alike. Children and their grandparents played games like checker, dominoes and loteria. The two hour event was free to the public and library director Maria Soliz says there was no better place to host the event. Maria Soliz, Library Director, says, 'they pass down the traditions of things you normally wouldn't think of; especially no with kids into Nintendo D-S and stuff... its good to have an oral history.'
