8 Yr. Old Calls Police: Parents Left Me Alone to Party

Two people are arrested after allegedly leaving their two young children alone for hours. Police say it was an 8 year old child that told officers about the incident. 27 year old Luz Maria Delfin and 20 year old Alvaro Obregon were arrested for leaving an 8 year old and a 4 year old alone at their apartment. Police say it all began with a call of domestic violence around eight this morning. It appears Obregon assaulted Delfin after becoming intoxicated. When police later questioned the children, the 8 year old boy told officers he had been left alone since 11 o'clock last night when his parents decided to go out for the evening. Delfin has been charged with child abandonment. Obregon was also charged with child abandonment and assault as well as interfering with a 911 call.
