By Ray Gomez

The Laredo Police Department is investigating why a man died after being tasered.
According to first responders the man was already unconscious when they got to the scene.
The incident happened around 3:50 Monday morning when police officers were called to the two hundred block of Martingale for a criminal mischief in progress.
When officers arrived they saw 44-year-old Richard Battistata had already broken a bedroom window of an apartment and was able to go in.
Police say officers tried to arrest him and he refused getting a bit aggressive.
"He became very aggressive towards the officers. They tried to effect the arrest at that time. One of the officers did deploy the non lethal weapon, which is the taser."
According to police he was arrested after being tasered.
Shortly after that, police had to call an ambulance because Battistata was unconscious.
Paramedics arrived and stabilized him.
He was transported to Doctors Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
Three officers involved in the arrest have been placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of the investigation.
Coming on Pro 8 News at six, we will show you how officers use this weapon to control aggressive suspects.
