Border Patrol acting chief Rosendo Hinojosa says they are doing their own investigation, after one of his agents was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving this weekend. Other than that Border Patrol won't give us any details, not even the agent's name or position. The Border Patrol agent was arrested Sunday morning for driving under the influence. According to police reports, dispatchers were receiving many phone calls about a Dodge truck driving recklessly on I-35. According to police, 30-year-old Nathan Guadalupe Trejo was heading north in the south bound lane of I-35. Later officers caught Trejo at the intersection of McPherson and Tiara. Police say he refused to take a breathalyzer and was arrested for DWI refusal. Border Patrol confirmed Trejo is one of their agents but won’t release any information. "That just happened over the weekend. We have to let that process play itself through. We will see what the investigation reveals." acting Border Patrol Chief Rosendo Hinojosa told Pro 8 News. The case is under investigation now Trejo awaits a court date and arraignment.
