Border Patrol investigating after agent arrested for DWI

By Ray Gomez

Border Patrol acting chief Rosendo Hinojosa says they are doing their own investigation, after one of his agents was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving this weekend.
Other than that Border Patrol won't give us any details, not even the agent's name or position.
The Border Patrol agent was arrested Sunday morning for driving under the influence.
According to police reports, dispatchers were receiving many phone calls about a Dodge truck driving recklessly on I-35.
According to police, 30-year-old Nathan Guadalupe Trejo was heading north in the south bound lane of I-35.
Later officers caught Trejo at the intersection of McPherson and Tiara.
Police say he refused to take a breathalyzer and was arrested for DWI refusal.
Border Patrol confirmed Trejo is one of their agents but won’t release any information.
"That just happened over the weekend. We have to let that process play itself through. We will see what the investigation reveals." acting Border Patrol Chief Rosendo Hinojosa told Pro 8 News.
The case is under investigation now Trejo awaits a court date and arraignment.

Most BPs are inept at there duties. I can't wait to hear that he will be exonerated of the charges. It happens all the time. I don't have confidence in any law enforcement officer on this border.

I have personally witnessed a BP agent take down two suspects on I-35, I called police in order to help him out. You try taking down two suspects without getting gunned down. The job is hard enough with people like yourself fanning the flames. They do their jobs, like anyone else, there are good employees and bad employees.

Read my statement again; I said most BPs. Regarding confidence in law enforcement officers, I do believe I'm entitled to my opinions. The position of the first Amendment of the US Constitution (Freedom of religion, of speech, of the press, to assemble, and to petition) will argue otherwise.

Agree with Where is the enforcement. The guy doing the investigation is probably related to him or a city council member or law enforcement. There will be something stress related that made him do it.He probably isn't even legal.
