Pro 8 Exclusive: Details on the daylight robbery at Movies 12

By Ray Gomez

Employees at a local movie theater were caught by surprise after two men robbed the place at knifepoint.

The Laredo Police Department continues to investigate the incident.

Employees were outside confused and still in shock after two men robbed them.

Even the movie theater manager was shaken up giving officers information as he fills out a police report:

"According to police the robbery happened when the movie theater was closed. But there were two employees inside waiting and getting ready to open for business."

"Two people actually broke into a theater not in the front entrance but through the back entrance."

Crime scene investigators were seen in the afternoon getting evidence, even lifting fingerprints from one of the doors.

According to police the two suspects demanded money with a knife, and employees gave them the deposit money that was inside the office. Police reports say the two suspects made off with several thousand dollars from the place.

Police say they cannot confirm or deny whether or not the employees were held against their will while the two suspects were getting the money:

Right now there are a few details other than they possibly made off in a black passenger vehicle.
