Former teacher pleas no contest to inappropriate relationship with student

A former Alexander High School art teacher has pled no contest to charges of improper relationship with a student.

Jose Morales, Jr. was charged with a felony after the parents of a 16 year old female student discovered over 100 pages of instant messaging exchanges between himself and their daughter.

The plea was made today in the 406th District Court.

Sentencing is set for January 22nd of 2010.
