"Unruly" and "unique" suspect arrested for shoplifting at J.C. Penny's

By Ray Gomez

A man is behind bars after punching a hole through a wall at a local department store.
24-year-old Edwing Ahmed Alvarez was caught shoplifting at J.C. Penny’s yesterday by the stores loss prevention associates.
Officers say the employees were able to detain Alvarez at the store's offices until police arrived.
But before they did, Alvarez became aggressive and punched a hole in the wall.
He had been previously arrested at Dillard’s and was told to never return to mall property.
And that’s not the end of the story.
Alvarez has already been arrested for prostitution, thefts, resisting arrest, and credit card abuse among other charges.
He was taken to the Webb county jail on charges of robbery and trespassing.
