I don't know where to start, 911 phone system messed up, airport having to divert traffic to the Valley, water lines breaking, streets full of pot holes and tons more, where does the city government think it's right to take a trip like that. Stop wasting tax payer money on usless trips that cost more than they make.

If our "great" mayor and city leaders wanted a more positive feedback from TAXPAYERS, then maybe they should have worked harder to cultivate our trust and respect up until now. Of course, we criticize. It IS our government. We put them there; we will vote them out.

Tough economic times are not the fault of our city leaders. People are losing their jobs and the trip to Central America can help bring more revenues and jobs to the City. Laredo is lucky compared to the rest of the country where whole neighborhoods are in foreclosure. Try to buy an acre around Laredo $15-20K without water or electric. Price a lot in Laredo, even more expensive. People in Laredo don't have so much to complain about, so they criticize the elected officials they put in office.

Taking a trip at taxpayer expense during difficult economic times--what part of this sounds positive? Do these people have any compassion for those who are losing their jobs, their homes? It seems that all our leaders do is take trips.

Concetta did not ask the right questions. Its very easy to be hoodwinked by Chale. Especially with the face of (espanta pendejos) that he has.

The City is actually on the right track. People hear our officials went to Central America and think back to the unneccessary trips to Washington D.C. and feel they are taking a Holiday on the Tax payers. 6 Countries in 10 days: not a vacation! If countries can be convinced to use Laredo as a port of entry, so much more revenue can be brought here and more jobs for our citizens. It's hard to say; however, Great job Mr. Mayor and City Manager, thanks.
