We have new information on the Nuevo Laredo shooting that occurred over the weekend.
Pro 8 News was the only media outlet to report the man was a drug thug and not a paisano like the rest of the field reported. In fact, we're told he was one of the most wanted fugitives along the border.
People lining up to get their travel permits to go into the United States were ducking for cover as Mexican soldiers shoot an SUV.
According to the Mexican media a paisano was killed and two other were injured, but our sources say that’s not the case. Instead the dead man is one of the most wanted men from the Mexican Mafia.
In the video you can see clearly that the vehicle the suspect was driving had Mexican license plates, tinted windows and bullet proof siding.
Mexican soldiers killed Juan Manuel Alaniz, also known as “El Chore.” Alaniz had three warrants out of the state of Texas all from 2007. He was charged with possession of controlled substance, unlawful carrying a weapon, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to reports, Alaniz was being chased by the Mexican soldiers as he was headed to the Lincoln Juarez Bridge on his way into the United States, a mile before entering the bridge the soldiers shot and hit Alaniz.
Soldiers told everybody who was waiting in line by the bridge to stay in their vehicles or they would run the chance of getting hurt.
