AEP on stand-by for power outages during freezing weather

By KGNS News

AEP-Texas is taking measures to prepare for the winter weather.

Representatives say freezing weather and high winds bring about many problems with power lines and power outages. People tend to turn up the thermostat during cold weather, which may lead to a power overload.

An AEP spokesperson says a manager will be on stand-by throughout the night, and all employees including some back-ups are ready to go.

Representatives say customers can be assured that they will be taken care of.

If you experience any power outage problems, call the aep texas hotline at 1-866-223-8508.
