The County Attorney's Office continues to be hush-hush involving the juvenile accused of murder in the Katherine Cardenas case.
The juvenile is awaiting a court hearing to be certified as an adult for the alleged murder of Cardenas, the two year old girl who was found dead back in September.
According to police, her body was discovered inside a cabinet located outside of the residence.
Back in December, Pro 8 News was told the juvenile would go before Judge Ben Morales today to be certified as an adult.
Court records show that did not happen.
The County Attorney's Office says they are under strict order by the judge to release no information to the public as to when this hearing will take place.
It's unclear if the media will be allowed in the courtroom when the trial actually takes place.

why is this taking to much time?? what is wrong with this judge? The judge should let the public know what is going to happen to this guy.

Well I heard this kid is part of a well known gang from Mexico and he is being protected by this gang. Either way, this "process" needs to speed up. And by the way, what about the baby's poor excuse of a mother. Why is she not being charged with anything?

This kid has a good lawyer. The judge is obviously intimidated.

This is a travesty! I can't believe that suspects/criminals have more rights than their victims. Why has the judge issued a gag order? Nothing seems to have been explained to the outraged public.
