Before discussing any of the issues on Tuesday’s agenda, City Council members paused to remember a man who had a huge impact on Laredo.
Blas Martinez died Monday night and was remembered for his work with the city of Laredo.
The City Manager says Martinez actually hired him many years ago and served as a strong mentor with big expectations for the city.
Council members asked for a moment of silence as they remembered their friend.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Martinez family.
