The Mayor is headed to Washington!
Mayor Salinas will be embarking on a week long trip to the nation’s capitol in an effort to raise federal funds for the Gateway City as part of the 78th Annual Conference of Mayors.
He and fellow mayors will make a stop at the White House for a meeting with President Barack Obama for a three-hour discussion on jobs and the economy.
The Mayor will also meet with Congressman Henry Cuellar about acquiring additional federal funds for Laredo.

WOW! 1st class flight round trip 3000$, 3 days 2 nights luxury hotel 800$ a night, car rental 100$ a day, food & allowance 1000$ a night..being Mayor of a corrupted and broke Laredo PRICELESS!!! For everyone else el ....! When i grow up i wanna be Lrdo's Mayor! imagine all the frequent miles the city has racked up! I know who is going on free trips this summer to Disney land and who is not going anywhere but get stuck in laredo working @ 6$ per hour!Gotta LOVE LAREDO!
