Today's advances in technology have in many ways made our lives easier.
However, the use of text messaging behind the wheel can have the deadliest of consequences.
The United States Department of Transportation is now taking a stand to protect our roadways.
The use of cell phones by motorists while driving is an issue making roadways nationwide more dangerous than ever before, but a new ban on text messaging while driving big rigs shows just how intense this danger has become.

TEXTING is only part of the problem, most people can't even walk and chew gum at the same time so talking is just as bad as texting. what is the difference between texting and trying to input a telephone number?

law enforcement should start with their own! How many times we see patrol cars (local and state) where the officer is fully engage in a conversation, big joke.

True, True, "yeah right"They are too busy texting or talking on the phone that they dont even notice the car next to them with children not wearing their seat belts, or toddlers riding on the laps of the front passanger. Just Saturday I saw a a toddler riding on the lap of the front passanger and a patrol car pulled up right next to the car and did nothing.
