Council decision to back Ventura Sports Group still making waves

Although City Council has made their decision on which group will control operations at a new ballpark in Laredo, the decision is still making waves in the baseball community.

was all corruption. Lead by Belmares and Tito Garcia. Add Narvaez and Rendon and you got yourself the most corrupt group of local politicians looking out for their own personal business interests. Let 10 people know and take your city back come election time.

So now it's 20M dollars for the new ball park and now it's a fly-by-night out of town firm?? This is not what anyone voted for. If you pseudo city leaders have 20M to spare, how about funding a recall election so we can strike the four of you (who voted for Ventura) Ouuuuuuuuuuuuut !!!!

The City Council and city administrators really need to face reality. The city needs to re-evaluate it's plans for the direction Laredo will take in the near future. Given the recent developments of violence targeting Americans in Mexico, touristic endeavors such as golf courses and sports stadiums should be scraped. I highly doubt San Antonians, or anyone else including performers and those from Monterey,are going to be flocking to what is being perceived as a war zone. Perhaps all those tax dollars should be used to bolster the City's emergency services... just in case.
