Lingerie too risque to advertise beer runs? Council to discuss

Local beer runs are catching the attention of many people around town, specifically those who don't agree with their form of advertising. Now the issue is being brought before City Council.
Councilman Micheal Landeck says he's received complaints from local church members as well as residents who live near stores. The question is, are the businesses taking their advertising too far? In some locations around town, girls are dressed in lingerie, waving to customers. One of those is across the street from a church. However, Landeck says these businesses are not breaking the law because workers are wearing some type of clothing, and it would be unconstitutional to ask them to refrain from their act. "All people will be able to come there and express their views and problems they are facing. Obviously there are concerns with church groups and other people who feel it is immoral to see such lewd activities," says Councilman Micheal Landeck. He hopes businesses and residents can come to an agreement at tomorrow night's meeting.
The City Council meeting will take place Monday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.

Although I think it looks wrong, they are not breaking any laws. I simply do not pass that area to avoid exposing my kids to it. I do however wonder for all those idiot men who "enjoy the show" would feel if it was their daughter shaking their bodies on that pole.

I think this is hilarious. If parents are offended then they should share a laugh with their children about how ridiculous these women/children look: fat, unfit, cheap, and OTT. Bi@#hin' about it does not help. City Council and the Police Dept. are loving this (gross). Nothing will be done. They are inevitable if you live in the south. You can take Meadow or Zapata Hwy and still bump into them. And I'm so sure, women account for beer purchases therefore men ought to be hired for exotic dancing. These places are for sex starved men. When I first encountered this I broke out laughing to see every passerby driving were hooked on the women dancing. They happened to men. So, as usual the "rique" occupations tend to be brought down by those who can't, won't do it. Just think of it: back then when women saw prostitution as a means to get by the government intervened. Why? Because they were making a good living off of it. It's annoying. Let them have their fun. In the mean time laugh at it.

Since nothing will be done for sure. I suggest that men should also be allowed to flaunt and parade themselves in speedos or some sort of underwear at beer runs. Women also stop at beer runs and deserve the same entertainment men get.

i hope they do make them wear more clothes these girls are pretty but y do they need to flaunt it in such matter. i guess as a parent i could care less what those girls where doing but as long as my children wont be exposed to it. i honestly dont like to pass through zapata hwy for that reason because the girls are pole dance out in the open and during the day when families and children are around.. everyone has there own opinion on this yeah they get more customers why those guys tat go to see there body but that wont last from long la bellaza se acaba if they want to leave of of child support go for it but honestly these girls should get a education because most of them van even count your change after you make a purchase

ok everyone...the issue here is not the girls, its the children! it's ridiculous that as a parent one takes every precaution as to what our small children are exposed to however all you have to do is drive in around in your own community for children to see such indecency. I personally don't have much of a problem w/ bathing suits or short shorts but I do have a huge problem w/ them wearing seethrough baby dolls and thongs! I bet council ppl would certainly not drive thru these places w/ their kids in the car! Another thing why is it that they are all in the south side or correct me if I'm wrong. I'm certain that if these type of behavior occured on the north side of town something would've been done a LONG time ago!

And this is a real job! Yes, you are right, some women excel by earning a degree and having a high paying career, bome women don't. But, because they don't have a degree does not cheapen the legal job they have. Would you the say the same about a surgeon and a gardener?
