Fallen Officers Remembered

Law enforcement agencies around town will be celebrating police week, starting with a solemn ceremony tomorrow.

The Laredo Police Department will recognize family members of fallen officers.

They will unveil a new memorial made for those officers who lost their life in the line of duty.

According to Police Chief Carlos Maldonado the ceremony will be very emotional.

Carlos Maldonado\LAREDO POLICE CHIEF " But also to let them know never forgotten and as an organization we are there with them. So this is an opportunity this week to share in the celebration."

Other events starting tomorrow include a k-9 and tactical teams competition.

All law enforcement agencies will compete against each other in these competitions
