SWAT teams face off as part of police week

By KGNS News

The boys in blue continue their celebration of police week with a friendly challenge to their counterparts in other law enforcement agencies.
Four swat teams competed in a shooting contest that tested various aspects of their skills.
It may look like a scene out of a high budget action movie, but it's all in the name of friendly competition among local law enforcement agencies.
Teams from the Laredo Police Department, U.S. Border Patrol, DEA, and Sheriff's Office took to the gun range pitting officer against agent, in an obstacle course that tested their shooting skills.
The teams are judged on timing, accuracy, thoroughness, and their ability to maneuver through the course as efficiently as possible.
In the line of duty, these guys work hard to protect Laredoans, but in the end, the competition is just one step towards a tighter bond of brotherhood.
