Firefighter arrested for DWI after crashing into LPD patrol car

By KGNS News

A Laredo firefighter is arrested today on a DWI charge stemming from an accident back in February.
This is 38 year old Juan Carlos Gomez.
Police received results from a blood test taken the night of the accident, which showed Gomez was double the legal limit, at point 19.
This is what was left of the police car after the accident back on Saturday February 13th.
According to police, the officer had the lights on, on the unit, and was diverting traffic after a previous accident in the south bound lane of I-35.
That's when Gomez hit the police unit.

Everyone makes mistakes but some mistakes can cause a fatality. If he has a problem he should get help or be helped and hope that he can get his life together.

Don't worry Juan, Mr. Alaniz Esq. has a soft spot for Union employees connected with the City, especially those that are Union members. A fire fighter got away with molesting a minor family member without jail time. Henry Flores got 8 years for kissing the neck of a minor. Don't woory kid, the fix is in!!!

I just seen the new story with landin. Seems he looked a little hungover also, wasn't he also in a accident recently where it was his fualt? Where is his respect for his community? Shame on him and shame on us for still having him serve as Laredo Fire Chief!

Has he been driving a fire truch all this time?!Wow that makes me feel real safe. There are so many people without a job right now, they would do anything for an opportunity to work as a firefighter. And then you have people like Mr.Gomez taking his job for granted. How sad!
