New properties looked at for LISD construction

By KGNS News

We told you about a tour that had LISD board members and Superintendent Dr. Marcus Nelson seeing available properties for new construction.

But while on that tour, the superintendent and board president also took time to look at another important issue.

LISD board president George Beckylhymer says a special-called meeting will be scheduled very soon to exclusively discuss discipline problems at Martin High School.

He says the board plans on asking the superintendent for a comprehensive plan to address safety of all students.

Superintendent Nelson says there are many issues that must be corrected immediately, and says he's glad board members are visiting schools.

Nelson says he's visited Martin High School everyday over the last two weeks.

You have the same problem at Nixon.  Take care of both schools at the same time. Also, you won't need new schools if you keep Mexican students from Nuevo Laredo attending our American schools while we pay the taxes.  Imagine how much you would save?  And you could teach our kids in English.

Yesterday's issue of the LMT gave a break down of projects [started, in-progress, and completed]. They claim that Lamar Middle School already has a new football field; it was checked off as completed. ... not so. I wonder if Chicken Little has ever blogged ... she's always calling those impromptu press conferences ... and yapping about her freedom of speech ( Constitutional Rights gibberish) KGNS should do an expose to see where she lives and where she spends her nights ... I bet she says " Le's be friends" very often
