The water and electricity is back at the Hamilton Hotel.
Sunday our newsroom was flooded with calls by residents saying they were suffering from the heat and lack of water.
Many of the elderly folk were saying they were close to collapsing from heat exhaustion.
Today, Mayor Raul Salinas, city councilwoman Cindy Liendo and other city officials showed up to check out the situation.
Shortly after, the water and power was restored.
In addition, the management has agreed to fix dozens of broken air conditioning units, as well as fix other problems.
City leaders say they were unaware of the situation until they saw our newscast and this video late last night.

Old people? Out of sight out of mind? Is that the way you say it? The one term loser mayor visited them? Such a hypocrite.
