A fake Webb County Sheriff''s vehicle carrying over 1-thousand pounds of marijuana is seized after being spotted by a Border Patrol agent out of the Freer station.
The driver arrested was even wearing an authentic Sheriff's Deputy uniform used in previous administrations.
Border Patrol officials say agents began investigating the suspicious truck, noticing that a few details of the vehicle didn't look quite right.
After verifying that all sheriff's vehicles had been accounted for, Border Patrol agents conducted a traffic stop on the cloned sheriff's unit.
The driver immediately pulled over and attempted to pass himself off as a deputy, but later admitted that he was not a law enforcement officer.
Over 800-thousand dollars in marijuana was found inside the vehicle.
The driver, truck and marijuana were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
