Trash left behind by illegal immigrants causing problems

By KGNS News

When illegal immigrants cross the border they leave many things behind.
Those personal belongings become trash, and as Border Patrol tells us, its a big concern.
According to special operations supervisor, Daniel Garibay, “They'll stage along a little further from the highway and then they'll make a call...and while they wait for their ride to pick them up they'll set camp out there."
Eventually the smuggler will jump the fence from the ranch, waiting for their ride.
While the group waits, they take a break; they eat, drink, or even change clothes.
And when their ride gets there, all of this is left behind.
" You can see that there were people hiding here recently just the way the grass its matted down."
Border patrol says the problem doesn't end here.
Where it becomes a major hazard is by the riverbanks.
A major concern right now is that recent rain will wash away all of the trash.
We came in contact with other agents along the river banks patrolling the area on ATV's.
They knew the perfect spot where illegal immigrants make their pit stop before their long journey.
We find an old couch and there is a good amount of trash around it.
We even find a plastic tube used for immigrants to cross the river, which end up as liter on the riverbanks.
" It will wash it down to other locations where it clogs up our water system pumps trash getting cut up in them and ranches... land owners will have to clean up their irrigation system."
Border Patrol agents say if the river continues to rise, the volume of trash will eventually be washed away.
That trash travels all the way south and becomes a problem for someone else or even another city.

Will someone other than Racist Border Patrol Agents post a comment? I wish all the illegals would go away so we could trim the fat from Homeland Security's budget. I am all for laying off government employees, especially border patrol agents! Too bad the Fed doesn't lay off, it just keeps absorbing dead weight in positions not needed to give taxpayer dollars to for sleeping on duty. Orale!
