Elderly woman found locked in house

Authorities rescue an elderly woman in Nuevo Laredo, who they say was a prisoner in her own home.
The 72 year old woman named Consuelo, had been locked inside the home with no food, by her own family.
First responders had to cut the front gate lock and even break a window just to get to Consuelo.
Inside, emergency crews discovered the poor conditions she had been living in.
The bathroom hadn't been cleaned and the kitchen was filthy.
Authorities were able to find the woman's niece, who was supposed to be taking care of her.
The niece told authorities she would bring Consuelo food every three days.
That niece was taken into custody and is now behind bars.
Consuelo was taken a hospital and found to be dehydrated and malnourished.

Kids abandoned, elderly people locked in homes, geez, n here I thought latinos held family importance over anything else. Must be the Anglo influences.

Ture...Anglos place their family members in nursing homes, or hospitals at vacation time. But they don't cram beer and fattening foods down their throats like Mexicans.

Nuevo Laredo news! Why is it that Pro 8 news covers more stories then what is really going on in Laredo? As for the anglo comment, I bet he or she eats Mexican food? Or perhaps they eat at Taco Bell the white version of Mexican food! HA HA
