Mother arrested after child found in street in underwear

A mother is arrested after somebody finds her daughter in the middle of the street unattended.
35 year old Andrea Astorga is facing charges of abandoning and endangering a child.
According to police, the incident happened this morning in the 22 hundred blocks of Guayamas street in south Laredo.
A man who was driving along the street, allegedly saw the six year old girl wearing only underwear in the middle of the street.
The man called 9-1-1 and tried to find her parents.
When officers arrived they eventually found the home and her mother.
Inside the home, the mother said she had no idea the girl had wonder off.
Police say the girl was several blocks away from the house.

the D.A needs to send a strong message here they must make them ( in this case her) do real jail time. no reason to leave kids along

I agree with very sad. Its very simple to make your home child friendly, for example puting dead bolts the ones that only work with a key on both sides, or keeping your gates closed and padlocked.Small things like that can save a precios little angels life.
