Educating Parents on Car Seat Safety

By KGNS News

The Texas Migrant Council and local law enforcement once again teamed up to help protect our children--this time, enforcing car seats. Dozens of car seats were inspected early today, giving parents a chance to learn how to properly install them. Parents were also made aware of whether or not their car seats have ever been recalled. This comes days before a new child booster seat law is set to take effect. It requires that a child younger than 8 years old be secured in a child passenger safety seat unless the child is taller than 4 feet, 9 inches. Over 90 car seats were inspected by the program last year.

Maybe the PD will release numbers on how many tickets are issued and how much money is collected from this, NAH.It will go the way of the cars that are impounded due to no insurance.
