A mother in mourning is preparing to say goodbye to her 14-year-old daughter for the last time.
Ana Chavez was murdered last week, allegedly at the hands of her stepfather, but Ana’s friends refuse to think of the gruesome details of the case.
Their thoughts are about a girl they say always worried about the well being of others.
Pink flowers dressed her casket, a symbol of the bright and happy life she led.
They say Ana will live on through the young girls who considered her family even though her time on earth ended much too soon.

AT LEAST WE KNOW THAT SOMEONE LOVE HER said on Thursday, Jun 3 at 12:25 PM
I LEAST WE KNOW THAT SHE WAS LOVED EVEN THOUGH HER OWN MOTHER DIDN'T PLACE HER FIRST. SHE WAS USED AS A BABYSITTER AND HEAVEN KNOWS WHAT ELSE. THE MOTHER WHO DECIDE TO BRING SO MANY CHILDREN INTO THIS WORLD IS THE ONE WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CHILDREN. ITS OK TO HELP BUT NOT BE TOTALY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM. IT WAS THE CHILD WHO DECIDE TO BRING THOSE KIDS INTO THE WORLD. BEING POOR OR ILLEGAL IS NO EXCUSE.
