Man threatens mother with knife, now behind bars

A man is behind bars today after allegedly threatening his mother with a knife, he also threatened to stab police if they were called in to help.
21 year old Felipe Pena is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest.
Police received a 9-1-1 call early this morning from a family member alerting them of the incident at the home located at the corner of Malinche and Aldama.
According to reports, the caller stated that Pena appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic.
They said he was wielding a knife, threatening to stab his mother -and- police officers, if they responded.
When officers arrived, the man was not inside, but was found several blocks away at an abandoned home.
Police were able to arrest him and charges are pending.
