UPDATE: Suspect in teen murder still in hospital

The man allegedly responsible for killing 14 year old Ana Chavez remains in a Laredo hospital.
Police believed he would be released yesterday, afternoon but he wasn't.
The man is the teenager's stepfather and suffered self inflicted stab wounds on Friday.
That same day officers found the young girl stabbed to death in the central Laredo home.
He has been under police guard while at the hospital.
However no charges have been filed against him at this time.
