Two men detained in weapons bust

Federal prosecutors released the names of the men who were transporting an arsenal of weapons seized last weekend in Laredo.
The two men are now in federal custody serving a short sentencing for entering illegally into the United States.
According to court reports 20 year old Damaso Alberto Rueda and 53 year old Arnulfo de la Cruz were transporting more than 140 assault riffles.
Also in their possession ten thousand rounds of ammunition and high capacity clips.
The two suspects have been sentenced to 10 days and 45 days respectively, for entering the United States illegally.
Laredo police stopped the two men Saturday afternoon, acting on a tip from the Webb County Sheriff's Department.
When they stopped them them they found all of these weapons inside a van.
There is no word on weather or not the two suspects will face any weapons charges.
In a prepared statement for the Associated Press, U.S. Attorney Jose Angel Moreno said the investigation continued and that no further comment would be made by any of the agencies involved.

The water is warm, it will soon boil.It is more than scary, downright terrifying. Local law aint ready for what is coming down.

The assumption was the weapons were headed to Mexico, what if they were intended for cartel members here? Scary thought!
