New email hoax theatens violence, even death, if not paid

By KGNS News

An email hoax is making its way around the Gateway City, but this time with a new twist: claiming they will assassinate you if you do not pay up.

This joins countless of other hoaxes, including asking for money to pay for taxes on lottery winnings and helping a Nigerian prince get to his millions of dollars.

This latest e-mail takes a slant of physical violence, and even death, if you don't pay $30,000.

Laredo police say these types of e-mails rarely amount to anything, but do warn to be mindful of your surroundings and who is around you at all times.
