Zapata County Sheriff's Department seizes 3500 rounds ammunition

The Zapata County Sheriff's department seizes high caliber rounds of ammunition this afternoon.
According to reports, a deputy patrolling Zapata observed a four door black Cadillac traveling erratically.
He made the traffic stop, and inside there were two men and one female.
Also inside there were more than 35 hundred rounds of ammunition, including some 50 caliber.
Zapata County Sheriff, Sigifredo Gonzalez says the ammunition was headed to Mexico.
" I always consider to be politicians may not agree with me, but whenever you have individuals that are being kidnapped whether is drug related or not...we have individual getting terrorized. To me that's definitely spillover violence, whether we want to admit it or not.”
All three suspects are being held at the Zapata County Sheriff's Department.
ATF will take over the case.
