Plans for Loop 20 overpasses underway

By KGNS News

The future of commuting in Webb County was addressed today in a special meeting at commissioners court.
Webb County Commissioners gathered to hear the pitch from multiple companies vying for the chance to contribute to the Loop 20 stimulus plan.
The stimulus plan is set up to provide drivers with overpasses to make for a more speedy commute.
Commissioners held an executive session at the beginning of the meeting and determined they would select the top three consultant groups to come back and present next week.
At that time Webb County will make a decision on who will begin work on the project.

Ah but they are planning.Planning to put more money in thier pockets before the elections as they might be kicked out of office and miss out on the take.Thats tha way its always been, they plan something, they fight the county over it for years, they build it .Then they say its outdated and start all over again. Remember this is Laredo and Mr. Potatoe head is running it.

Yay!!!! Now it will only take me 8 minutes to get home....all highway. Thanks TxDot for planning this section of the road when you built the frontage roads that we drive today. You thought out this project, unlike the HWY 59 and loop 20 overpass, when it was built in phases over the pass ten years.

my question is, why, when they built the Loop, did they not do the overpasses to beguin with??? when you do these projects, you have to be thinking 15 to 20 years down the road, not for next week. who ever planned the loop, well to say the least, is a joke. plan people, plan!!!!!!!!!!!!
