Pro 8 Problem Solver: Woman says neighbors don't keep up property

We have been receiving many phone calls to our newsroom of people asking for help with neighbors who don’t care of their lawns.
Our Noraida Negron talks to a woman who has the same problem, as the weeds are taking over her neighbor's house.
" Every year i have to be calling the Health Department to see if code enforcement can help. They do. They are helpful but this is ridiculous."
Rosalinda is talking about her neighbor's home.
The front lawn is covering an abandoned vehicle on the property, not to mention the height of these weeds, causing Rosalinda to take extra measures to prevent them from coming to her home.
Already, she has put a barrier against her side of the fence so no animals can come to her yard.
Rosalinda called Code Enforcement, and she says they told her they were not able to come and take care of her neighbor's lawn for another six weeks.
" They are on it but they put me on the waiting list for maybe 6 weeks. The longest will be February."
The list is for ‘forced clean’ property like this one.
They are absentee property owners and the city of Laredo has 35 of those properties on this ‘forced clean’ list.
The City of Laredo says they are going out for bids to clean up all 35 properties, which will take 10 to 15 days.

Lions tigers and bears, Oh my! Dont kill rats some of my good friends are rats. Dont forget breeding grounds for the black widow spider, brown recluse, skeeters and all sorts of vermin.

we have killed some rats and we know it came from the neighbors house we call code enforcement they came twice and nothing has been done we have called them and nothing i guess they ( code enforcement) only enforces what and who they want! welcome to laredo
