Teen indicted in Katherine Cardenas murder, death ruled strangulation

Nine months after her death, we now know the cause of death of two year old Katherine Cardenas.
The information is in an indictment presented to a grand jury earlier today.
According to the indictment, 16 year old Jose Arredondo allegedly caused the two year old's death by strangulation.
Also in the indictment, it states Arredondo caused the penetration of the sexual organ of Katherine Cardenas.
After a lengthy hearing with a grand jury today, the indictment was handed down this afternoon.
The district attorney will be the lead prosecutor in the case.
Arredondo is being charged with capital murder in the death of baby Katherine, along with two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of aggravated kidnapping.
The murder of the two year old girl happened back in September of last year, and it took more than six months for the teen to be certified to stand trial as an adult.
Arredondo is being held in the Webb County Jail, in isolation from the general population, for his own safety.
If convicted, Arredondo could face life in prison, but not the death penalty.

Could face life.. hm, I think he may face somewhere along the lines of 40yrs and with time off with good behavior serve 20yrs. We will see him again prowling the streets of Laredo once again.

why dont they just get it over with and hold a public hanging. why does society insist on allowing these types of monsters to live. now days jail is like a luxury. AC, free food, free bed, free shelter, gyms.
