Mines connector now open

By KGNS News

Residents who live in the Mines Road area can now find traffic relief as the City and TXDOT open up a new connector.
The I-35 and Mines Road connector is now open for traffic.
This project has been in the works for several years now and was supposed to be finished back in 2008.
Councilman Jose Valdez says he is glad the new connector is now complete and ready to use.
He says people will no longer have to wait until the train passes by and business owners will be happier.
TXDOT is urging the travelling public to follow traffic signs as they may get confused with the opening of the new connector.

Wonderful. Now, get drivers to accelerate from the ramp to the highway. You cannot safely enter IH 35 at 40 miles per hour or less. And on McPherson and Del Mar...there is a middle turn lane to use. Don't try to make a left turn from the driving lanes...USE the middle lane.
