Imaging technology introduced at Laredo International Airport
The Laredo International Airport received the first advanced imaging technology to screen passengers.
Transportation Security Administration demonstrated the one-of-a-kind machine.
It safely screens passengers for metallic and non-metallic threats, as well as explosives, without physical contact.
The TSA has ensured strict privacy protections are in place and that passengers have the option to go through the metal detector and a pat-down by a TSA officer.
Imaging machines will be introduced to airports across the United States.
