Lover's Quarrel Ends With Stabbing

A domestic dispute unravels at a downtown restaurant.

First responders received a 9-1-1 call regarding an incident that occurred at the El Catan Restaurant across the street from the Hamilton Hotel.

Police say a woman entered the establishment and accused her husband, an employee, of cheating on her, that's when an argument started.

During the altercation, the woman grabbed a knife and stabbed the man 3 times.

The man was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police arrested 19-year-old Joanna Garcia and charged her with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, plus one count of child abandonment for leaving her two year old alone at home at the time of the altercation.
