A man is behind bars after threatening a local judge and the district attorney.
Police say the suspect arrested was retaliating against the officials because of his brother's sentence.
Forty-three-year-old, Victor Roberto Carrera was arrested on felony three retaliation charges.
This arrest was made after the police department received information regarding threats against Judge Oscar Hale and Isidro "Chilo" Alaniz.
Investigators were able to obtain enough evidence to secure a search & arrest warrant for Carrera.
A search of the suspect's residence at the 4200 block of Merida resulted in the seizure of a shotgun, a rifle, a handgun and assorted ammunition.
Victor Carrera is at the Webb County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
Victor is the brother of Javier "Javi" Carrera who was sentenced last year to 3 consecutive 20-year terms by Judge Hale in reference to indecency with a child charges.
