Accused 15-year fugitive arrested in Laredo

An alleged fugitive on the run for almost 15 years is apprehended in a joint effort from law enforcement in Laredo.

It happened shortly after noon Wednesday as deputies with the Webb County Sheriff''s Office assisted U.S. Marshals in apprehending 41-year-old Elizabeth Cantu.

She was wanted in Florida and Houston on felony drug charges.

Sheriff’s deputies took her to the federal courthouse for magistration.
