A bond has been set for the father accused of murdering his 3 month old baby boy just days ago.
A Webb County Judge placed a 200-thousand dollar bond for Allen Renteria who remains behind bars tonight.
The twenty year old was arrested earlier this week on the 19 hundreth block of Kearny Street.
That's where 911 operators reportedly received a call that baby Vincent was not breathing.
Paramedics say they noticed bruising on the baby’s head and face leading to Renteria's arrest.
Police tell us he allegedly admitted to hitting the child after the child would not stop crying.
County officials say Renteria is still behind bars this weekend after that 200 thousand dollar bond was set by 49th District Court Judge Joe Lopez.

nothing against animal activist i support animal rights, but just how petland been getting all the publicity maybe this topic should get the publicity and bring up child abuse and neglect awareness.. Petland receive about a week of news coverage n they were going to find the parrot n dogs no matter what because it was a kidnapping n the parrot was like a son to the owners of petland. most likely this is all the coverage we will see like always when it comes to REAL news n not some b.s. dont have anythin against animals or animal lovers but we r now talking about a human being a defenseless human being, as a mother of a deceased baby i say that this story needs to get the appropriate coverage n attention to bring justice to this angel. If that baby was a premie, the hospital staff would have taught those loser parents how to perfrom CPR and how to use a baby monitor, etc. She's just as guilty for not protecting that baby.

really pro 8 news..not posting my follow up comment just comes to prove that their will not be more coverage and that you will not do the right thing.. Lets see if this one goes through.. I dont see anything wrong with asking the detectives to do their job and the attorneys & judge to make sure that justice is served. oh well..
