City leaders looking forward to state-of-the-art golf course

By KGNS News

The City is moving forward with a project that will bring a brand-new state of the art golf course to the area.
One of the major design aspects of the new course is that only 150 thousand cubic feet of earth was actually moved, a relatively small amount in comparison to other courses.
So golfers can really expect to see a course that uses its natural terrain to create challenges.
From the get go many Laredoans were questioning if a golf course of this magnitude could be profitable, especially given the distance the facility is from the city limits.
This morning, that was just one of the questions for investors and those who will manage the course.
Rounds will cost $40 on the weekend and between $30 and $35 during the week
Another big concern is the environmental impact a course of that size could have on an area, given it takes a lot of turf and water to keep in going.
That's one of the first things the investors talked about before proceeding forward.
The golf course will use the latest technology to ensure drastic measures don't have to be taken to save the greenery.
Forsight Golf says from both a looks and cost basis it's important to keep a healthy course.
The course is expected to be complete sometime in November.

Looks like this only benefits those "city leaders" that want to take an afternoon off to golf. How about doing something for the community that benefits the general public??

I'm an environmentalist "wacko" but I don't like the idea of another golf course... Also, ask yourself why do CEOs outsource their empoyment.. could it have ANYTHING to do with the US education system ranking number 25th in the world? Then you ask, "Why are there so many unemployed?" Google this: education rating in the world

Let's see if the local flat-earth,no progress, no new jobs, no-growth environmentalist wackos will allow a golf course to be built. Thanks to those neanderthals, we have a beautiful eyesore in front of the airport, which is what greets visitors to our city, instead of a beautiful outdoor mall, that would have created many jobs.
