Conference planned to help protect children from abuse
The Children's Advocacy Center is inviting the community to join them for their 12th annual conference.
The center holds the conference each year to help Laredo learn more about protecting its children.
This year's conference will take place on Monday at the UISD student activities complex.
Registration begins at 7:30 in the morning.
The program begins at 8:30.
There is a $75 registration fee.
This year's guest speaker is Erin Merryn, who was sexually abused as a child.
And recently helped pass state legislation in Illinois, assuring that schools offer a curriculum designed to teach children how to protect themselves from predators.
