Rodriguez takes 3rd Runner Up at Miss USA

By KGNS News

The eyes of Laredo were on the Miss USA pageant tonight as one of our own was vying for the top crown in the country.
Laredo’s own Ana Rodriguez made pageant history as the first woman from Laredo to make it all the way to the national competition.
It was a successful night for Miss Rodriguez as she placed third runner up.
Rodriguez is the current Miss Texas USA and the former Miss Laredo.
She competed among the 51 contestants on live television in front of the entire nation.
Rodriguez says she's glad to bring some positive attention to our city.
So from all of us here at KGNS, congratulations Ana Rodriguez.

I thought she did much better than what she received. Great job none the less. Many happy returns for representing so well.
