County Imposes Fireworks Ban

The extremely dry conditions have prompted local officials to issue a county disaster declaration, banning the sale and use of all fireworks in Webb County. This comes in response to the massive wildfire that took place in El Cenizo April 4th. In a statement, County officials say they consulted with the Texas Forest Service, the governor's division of emergency management and the Webb County and Laredo Fire Departments in making the decision. Sellers and buyers risk hefty fines for the sale and use of any fireworks.
