Dimmitt County kicks off Diana Saldaña Day

It was a proud day for Laredo’s newest US District Court Judge.

Diana Saldaña was today honored in the town she grew up in, just to the northwest of us.

Dimmitt County leaders proclaimed this Diana Saldaña Day in Carrizo Springs.

They honored her for her many accomplishments, the most recent her appointment and confirmation as federal district judge.

Lots of Carrizo Springs leaders joined Saldaña's family and friends at the ceremony held inside the Dimmitt County Courthouse.

Saldana says she's had many proud and humbling moments, and this is certainly one of those.
